Day 1: Dar es
Salaam – Selous Reserve

Depart Dar es Salaam by car to
Selous Game Reserve, the journey that takes about 5 ½ hours
passing through rural villages and Selous Game Reserve. After
registration game viewing along the Rufiji River till the
sunset; Dinner and Overnight at Jimbiza Lodge

Day 2: Game
Drive combined with Boat Safari
-
Breakfast and then 3 hours of
boat safari in the Rufiji River, followed with lunch and
packing. Late afternoon game viewing while heading to Manze
Campsite for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Selous Walking
Safari – Fly Camping
-
After a morning relaxing around
the camp, set off on foot accompanied by ranger and guide along
the river and oxbow lakes like Manze and Mzizimia. Late
afternoon return to the base camp for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Selous Walking
Safari – Fly Camping
-
Early morning foot walking
safari, following the sand river, and looking for close
encounters with big game from giraffes, and buffalo, to hippos
and elephants; lunch at the base camp; afternoon game drive
north of Lake Manze. Dinner and overnight at Manze at the fly
camp

Day 5: Drive to
Behobeho Fly Camping – Game Drive

Breakfast, break the camp and
then drive to Behobeho Campsite; game viewing enroute along the
road. Lunch at the base camp and then rest; late afternoon
sunset game drive to Fuga Area; Overnight at the Behobeho
Campsite

Day 6: Selous Walking
Safari – Fly Camping - Behobeho
-
Early morning walk from the camp
following the Behobeho River to the Selous Grave, have a picnic
lunch. And then drive to the hot spring before heading back to
the camp for rest, dinner and overnight

Day 7: Full day
Game drive
-
Break the camp; packing and then
full game drive in the reserve from Matambwe Gate – Fuga to
Mtemere on the other side; dinner and overnight at Jimbiza Lodge

Day 8: Leave the
Reserve for Dar
-
Morning after breakfast drive
back to Dar es Salaam; with enroute light lunch
- During the dry season the
fly- camping can be done in Lake Tagalala south east of
Behobeho; near the lake. Around the lake, buffaloes, Zebra,
wildebeest and lions are commonly seen. All campsites are
inside the reserve and set near the river or lakes
