Mikumi National Park
Covers 3230 sq/km just 320 kilometers from Dar es
Salaam. It was gazetted as National Park in August
1964 and is the third largest in Tanzania.
The Mikumi National Park shares its boundary in the
extreme south, with the Selous Game Reserve and
Kilombero Game Controlled Area as one ecosystem and
some animals (Wild dogs, lions, Elephant, Buffaloes
and Zebras) migrate to and from the northern part of
the reserve into Mikumi National Park.
