A short African safari in Selous Game Reserve, giving opportunity to walk in the bush and exploring the nature and birding by boat in the Rufiji River Camp

Day 1:  Fly In to Selous Game Reserve

Leave Zanzibar/Dar es Salaam at 07:00 by plane for Selous Game Reserve it takes about 45 minutes to Mtemere Airstrip. Pick up and proceed with game drive till lunch time when you will drive to the Rufiji River Camp/Selous Impala Camp on the River Bank; after unpacking and lunch, rest till late afternoon when you will do short sunset game drives. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp/Selous Impala Camp

Day 2: Game Drive in the Selous & Boat Safari in Rufiji River

Morning game drive to the Selous Game Reserve, lunch and rest on the camp while counting the bird species visiting your tent or restaurant. Then proceed with boat safari on the Rufiji River late afternoon (the boat safari normally takes 3 hours). Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp/Selous Impala Camp

Day 3: Game Drive in the Selous

Full day game drive to the Selous Game Reserve, game along the Rufiji River starting from Lake Nzelekela, Manze, and Lake Tagalala, visit the Hot Spring depending on the weather (if rains will not reach this far). Lunch at a picnic site; late afternoon before down return to the Selous Impala Camp for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Return to Zanzibar

Breakfast and then transfer to the Mtemere Airstrip for 08:30 Coastal Aviation plane back to Zanzibar/Dar es Salaam
