The area covers the plains of Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater; Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park and Kilimanjaro National Park for which the Kilimanjaro Mountain falls under its care. Southern Circuit; comprises of unexplored wilderness where walking safari, hiking and boat excursions are combined with game drives. The famous Southern Tanzania Safaris is conducted in Selous Game Reserve along the Rufiji River, Mikumi National Park, Ruaha National Park and Udzungwa Mountain. Udzungwa is ideal for adventure hiking and tropical forest birding. Western Circuit includes Katavi National Park, Gombe Stream, Mahale Forest famous for chimpanzee tracking safaris, and Ugalla Forest Reserve.
