Udzungwa National Park
Mountain National Park is in the list of the top
ten forests for bird conservation in Africa.
With local endemic species of Udzungwa
partridge, rufous-winged sunbird and the
African tailor bird, others include African
Marabou, Rappel’s Vulture, Crowned Eagle and
Martial eagle, African Hobby, Scaly Francolin,

area of swamp and black soil, with plenty and variety of
plain animals, including Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard
along with many other animals like impala, bush back,
jackals and baboon. In the "Miombo" woodland of the mountain
ranges and foothills, you are likely to have opportunities
to see Hartebeests, sable antelope, greater kudu, Colobus
monkey and wild dogs.

is home to orchids flower. For six
months of the year it is
with spectacular wild flowers as
well, and is home to many species of birds, including the blue sparrow.
The plateau has an enormous variety of rare flowers (with 350 species of
vascular plants documented to date), including many species of ground
orchid, and is one of the great natural flower gardens of the world.
From October to April the flowers are in full bloom, creating an amazing
carpet of color.
