Geography
Mbaran'gandu
Wildlife Management Area is located in Ruvuma Region at the southern
border of Selous Game
Reserve and northern Nachingwea. The area derives its name from
Mbaran'gandu River, which crosses it before flowing into
Luwegu River, which then
joins the
Kilombero on to Ruaha, and becoming the mighty
Rufiji River.
The geography of
Mbaran'gandu is dominated by hilly terrains that could attract many who
like walking safari.

Attraction
It is jus as
extension of Selous
Game Reserve, it contains large herd of elephant, Buffalo, Lion and
Leopard, and above all it has maned lion, which are rare in southern
part of Tanzania
"Elephant
Convention at Kilima Tembo” This is the gathering of elephants in one
area (at Kilima Tembo), it allows visitors to see the highest number of
elephant concentration than any other place
