Dar es Salaam boasts of  having beautiful unspoiled beaches which  have yet attract visitors; locals and foreigners alike. The most popular beaches are Oyster Bay (Coco Beach) , Msasani Peninsula, Kunduchi,  Bahari, Mjimwema and Ras Kutani.

Coco Beach: it is also known as Oyster Bay Beach, a popular and frequently visited beach by local people. It is  clean and has police patrol during the day. The beach is famous for beach-jogging, sea breeze and swimming during the weekends and holidays. Hotels Near Coco Beach  include  Golden Tulip and   SeaCliff Court (Hotels & luxury apartments), Q-Bar and Colosseum
Msasani Peninsula: not really as a beach, but a cliff with beautiful sunset view:  Hotels: Hotel SeaCliff Hotel, Coral Beach Club, Slipway Hotel, there is also a Yatch Club. Excursions to the nearby islands of Bongoyo and Mbudya (Marine Parks) can also start from here (Msasani Slipway)

Kunduchi Beach: It is located at the north of Dar es Salaam, extending from Kunduchi to Bahari Beach. It is ideal for beach walking and Watersports. It is also a starting point for snorkelling and scuba diving in Fungu Yasini , Fungu Mkadya, and Mbudya Island Marine Park
South Beach: 1. Mjimwema (a small fishing village), on the Southern Coast of Dar es Salaam. accessed by  car and boat with unspoilt white sandy beach. The beach is nice and cool with ambiance, above all close to the city: Famous Hotels here are Sunset Beach Resort, Kipepeo Beach Camp and Barracuda Beach.
2. Ras Kutani Beach Resort and Amani Beach Hotel: Located about 34km south of Dar es Salaam;  well-known for its mangrove trees, surrounded by woodland, which attracts monkeys and a variety of birds.   This place should bring tranquillity to your mind after  a long game viewing Safari in Southern Tanzania. It is a favourable place for water sports, snorkelling and fishing.
